Decks & Pergolas

At Lifestyle Home Projects, we are the deck and pergola specialist. Whether you want a deck constructed, privacy screen built, a pergola built over your entertaining area, decking laid on your front porch, or modern balustrading installed, we can help.

What Are the Best Timber Materials for Decking & Pergolas ?

For Decking:

Timber Options: When it comes to decking materials, we offer a range of options. Hardwood choices like Merbau, Blackbutt, and Spotted Gum provide a natural, timeless aesthetic.

Composite Materials: If you prefer low-maintenance options, consider composite materials like Modwood, Trex, or Millboard. These composites require minimal upkeep, usually just regular cleaning.

Maintenance Differences: Hardwood decking typically requires annual maintenance, including oiling or staining. In contrast, composite decking is almost maintenance-free, saving you time and effort.

Durability Considerations: While hardwood can be a cost-effective choice and can be sanded to remove scuffs and scratches, composites tend to be more resilient. Composites often come with extended warranties, such as 25 years.

For Pergolas:

Material Versatility: When it comes to pergola construction, we offer various material choices, including timber, aluminum, or steel. This flexibility allows you to select the best material for your specific needs.

Roofing Options: We can install a wide range of roofing materials for your pergola, including insulated roof panels like Stratco Cooldek. These panels not only provide shelter but also enhance energy efficiency, making your outdoor space comfortable year-round.
